UAE: Sharjah International Book Fair to be held from November 6-17

emirates7 - The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) announced that the 43rd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair will take place from November 6 to 17.

The fair, which draws local, Arab, and international publishers, will feature writers, authors, intellectuals, and creatives from diverse fields. These participants will engage in discussions on literary, cultural, and intellectual topics, sharing their groundbreaking experiences and insights.

This year’s fair will honor the Kingdom of Morocco as the guest of honor, showcasing a variety of cultural and artistic activities, such as interactive workshops and book signing events.

The event will offer opportunities for readers to connect with their favorite authors, enjoy artistic and theatrical performances, and experience global touring shows. Cultural forums will also be held, fostering dialogue and knowledge sharing between attendees and participants.

Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority, emphasized the growing importance of books in bridging communication between nations and peoples. "The Sharjah International Book Fair stands as a living message co-written by thousands of writers, authors, and artists from around the globe, highlighting the fact that all the achievements civilisations aspire to begin with a book, and that every noble value rooted in the hearts of people is reflected in a book," she said.
