emirates7 - Etihad Airways has unveiled plans to launch seven new routes as part of its continued efforts to boost direct travel to Abu Dhabi and expand its global network.
The newly announced destinations include Almaty (Kazakhstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Bucharest (Romania), Medina (Saudi Arabia), Tbilisi (Georgia), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Yerevan (Armenia). These additions aim to enhance Abu Dhabi’s status as a key hub for tourism, culture, and business.
Ticket sales for the new routes will open in the coming days, with services scheduled to begin in March 2026, except for Medina, which will launch in November 2025.
With these latest additions, Etihad has introduced a total of 27 new routes for 2025, following earlier announcements of both regular and seasonal services.
Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves stated, “Our mission is straightforward — to increase direct access to Abu Dhabi. These new connections with dynamic and culturally significant regions will help boost tourism and trade to the UAE capital.”
