emirates7 - The 10th and final event of the inaugural Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup for the 2024 season has concluded in Damascus, Syria.
The two-day championship, held at the Saif Al Sham Club, was organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS). Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of EAHS, closely oversaw the event.
The competition featured 95 horses from 65 owners, all vying for victory in intense qualifying and final rounds.
Among the attendees were Hassan Ahmed Mohamed Suleiman Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador to Syria; Wahid Mubarak Sayyar, Bahrain's Ambassador to Syria; Mohamed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director-General of EAHS; and Ahmed Hamsho, who, along with other officials, breeders, and horse owners, crowned the winners.
This event coincided with the 10th Syrian National Show Championship for Purebred Arabian Horses. The opening ceremony showcased captivating performances that highlighted the deep cultural significance of Arabian horses, featuring horseback shooting demonstrations, theatrical dances, and other traditional displays.
In the Fillies Championship, Amira. J won the gold medal for owner A’ adam Bayroty, with Ghalet A.S securing silver for Abdallah H. Sadeh, and Nour Al Khair taking bronze for Al Khair Stables.
The Colts Championship saw Taim Al Said Hassan, owned by Khaled Al Said Al Hassan, win the gold medal, while Amal Al Izz, owned by Khaldoun Zouby, took silver, and Al Boraq A.S earned bronze for Abdallah H. Sadeh.
In the Mares Championship, Hala Alzenati claimed gold for owner Huda Kheti, while Joulyia A.S took silver, and Noor A.S won bronze, both for Abdallah H. Sadeh.
The Stallions Championship was led by Izz Alizz, who won gold for owner Khaldon M. Alzoeeby, followed by Azad Al Jawadieh with silver for M. Ali Al Rakhlani, and Adham Al Fahed, who earned bronze for Basel Malhan.
