UAE scoops 9 medals during 2024 IFMA Youth World Championships

emirates7 - The UAE National Youth Muay Thai Team secured nine medals at the 2024 IFMA Youth World Championships, which concluded in Bangkok on Friday. The competition, organized by the International Federation of Muay Thai Associations (IFMA), featured 3,000 athletes from 92 countries.

The UAE team earned one gold, one silver, and seven bronze medals, delivering impressive performances from the round of 32 through to the finals. Aziz Al Hammadi won the gold medal in the 12-13 age group, 48kg weight category, becoming the champion. Ahmed Abu Geish secured a silver medal in the 12-13 age group, 63kg weight class. The bronze medalists included Rakan Ahmed, Saeed Al Mazrouei, Saeed Ahmed, Mariam Al Suwaidi, Jasser Ahmed, and Khaled Suleiman. Additionally, Ahmed Abu Jeish and Mohammed Karim took bronze in the Muay May competition for the 14-15 age category.

Abdullah Saeed Al Neyadi, President of the Asian and Arab Muay Thai Federation and Chairman of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, expressed pride in the UAE national youth team's achievements at the IFMA Youth World Championships.
