Sheikh Sultan also examined a model of a residential unit within the project, exploring its features and layout, which includes smart home technologies. The unit is conveniently located near the central recreational area of the Masaar community.
The residential units are thoughtfully designed to ensure privacy and provide a family-friendly environment with various activities available to residents.
The Masaar project is notable for its lush greenery, with over 50 species of trees, including Ghaf, Acacia, Mahogany, and African Tulip, connecting its six neighborhoods. By the project's completion in 2026, more than 70,000 trees will have been planted.
The development also offers an array of recreational and community facilities, such as parks, swimming pools, a 6.6 km bike path, a cycling center, playgrounds, a skate park, fitness centers for men and women, and various sports courts, including for tennis, basketball, football, and beach volleyball. There will also be a food truck area.
Additionally, the project will feature the British Reigate Grammar School, which will follow the British curriculum and accommodate 2,700 students. The school is scheduled to open in 2027.
Following his tour, Sheikh Sultan visited the Masaar Exploration Centre, which is designed with open spaces and natural light, providing a hub for showcasing the project and assisting residential unit owners.
He also reviewed the overall development plan and the project's progress. The second and third phases are set to be completed in the next six months, bringing the total number of completed residential units to 1,400. The final three phases, comprising 1,600 units, are expected to be finished by the end of 2026.
