emirates7 - The ADNOC Sports Tournament 2025 wrapped up on Wednesday after three weeks of dynamic competitions, organised by ADNOC in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and ADNEC.
Held under the theme “Energy for Wellbeing,” the tournament brought together over 2,000 participants, including ADNOC employees, their families, and partners.
This year’s edition was hosted across multiple venues such as Abu Dhabi Summer Sports at ADNEC, the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and Al Forsan International Sports Resort.
More than 10 sports—both team and individual—were featured, including football, basketball, volleyball, handball, jiu-jitsu, chess, padel, women’s volleyball, and shooting. The event also offered age-specific competitions to encourage broader community engagement.
In a nod to the UAE’s rich cultural legacy, traditional Emirati sports like camel racing, falconry, and Al-Mutarah were also included, highlighting ADNOC’s dedication to preserving national identity and heritage.
Among the distinguished attendees were Sheikh Zayed bin Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan bin Saeed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber (Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO), Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi (Minister of State for Youth Affairs), Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri (ADNEC Group Managing Director and Group CEO), Talal Al Hashemi (Executive Director of the Events Sector at ADSC), senior ADNOC officials, and former UAE National Football players.
Commenting on the event, Talal Al Hashemi stated: “We are proud to collaborate with ADNOC in delivering a distinctive sports tournament that fosters health, fitness, and community spirit—aligned with the UAE’s Year of Community goals.”
Launched in 1994, the ADNOC Sports Tournament reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to using sport as a powerful tool for uniting communities, promoting wellbeing, and celebrating national pride.
