President Sheikh Mohamed sends message to pupils on first day of school

emirates7 - On Monday morning, pupils across the UAE received a special message from President Sheikh Mohamed as they started the new school year. The President’s voice recording conveyed warm wishes for a successful year and offered valuable advice, encouraging students to be positive role models and reminding them of their vital role as the future of the Emirates.

The two-and-a-half-minute message was broadcast in both government and private schools across the country as over a million pupils returned to class.

"To all students, educators, teachers, and education sector workers in the UAE, I extend my congratulations on the start of the new academic year," said Sheikh Mohamed.

He urged students to be exemplary in their conduct, both at school and at home, by respecting and appreciating their teachers and parents. He emphasized that they are the future of the nation, and that education plays a crucial role in the UAE’s development, both now and in the years to come.

The President also stressed the significance of technology and the preservation of national values. He highlighted that while technology and AI are powerful tools that can enhance education, they must be used responsibly. He called for strong collaboration between families and schools to a supportive environment for students' success.

"We must also focus on raising our children with values rooted in Emirati heritage. These values should guide our actions, whether online or offline," Sheikh Mohamed added.

He concluded by wishing everyone a successful academic year and invoking God’s blessings.

Additionally, the President took to social media platform X to reiterate the importance of education. He noted that education is a fundamental pillar of the nation’s progress, supported by an advanced system that fosters learning, encourages collaboration between schools and families, and integrates knowledge, values, and character, while also promoting the responsible use of AI and new technologies.
