Shakhboot bin Nahyan meets Rwandan President to strengthen bilateral relations

emirates7 - Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the UAE and Rwanda across various sectors of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Sheikh Shakhboot conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. He also extended their best wishes for Rwanda’s continued growth and prosperity.

In response, President Kagame sent his regards to the UAE leaders and praised the strong and enduring ties between Rwanda and the UAE. He also expressed his hope for further development and success for the UAE government and its people.

The discussions between Sheikh Shakhboot and President Kagame centered on expanding cooperation across various domains, emphasizing the importance of the UAE-Rwanda partnership. Both reaffirmed their nations' commitment to deepening collaboration to serve their shared interests.

Additionally, Sheikh Shakhboot met with Olivier Nduhungirehe, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to explore new opportunities for strengthening bilateral relations.

This visit follows President Kagame’s recent trip to the UAE, where he participated in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. The continued high-level engagements reflect ongoing efforts to enhance UAE-Rwanda ties, fostering sustainable development and mutual prosperity for both countries.
