UAE President receives Hungarian Prime Minister

emirates7 - President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Hungarian Prime Minister His Excellency Viktor Orbán to the UAE today as part of his official visit.

During their meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, the two leaders discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations and explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation, particularly in the economic, trade, investment, and development sectors. Their discussions also covered collaboration in technology, infrastructure, and renewable energy, with a focus on advancing sustainable development and fostering continued progress and prosperity for both nations.

His Highness reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to deepening ties with Hungary, particularly in key areas such as trade, investment, and renewable energy. He highlighted the role of the UAE-Hungary Joint Economic Committee and the Political Consultations Committee in reinforcing these relations and expressed the UAE’s dedication to expanding cooperation across various sectors.

Prime Minister Orbán expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated Hungary’s strong commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE. He emphasized the shared vision of both nations in promoting economic growth and mutual prosperity.

During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán witnessed the announcement of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and agreements across multiple fields, including education, investment, and renewable energy. These agreements aim to broaden the scope of cooperation between the two countries.

The MoUs were exchanged by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The meeting was also attended by the delegation accompanying the Hungarian Prime Minister which included several ministers and senior officials.
