ADU celebrates leap in Times Higher Education Rankings 2025

emirates7 - Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has achieved significant progress in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2025. The university’s Business and Economics program climbed an impressive 39 positions to rank 62nd globally, placing it among the top 100 universities in the world and securing the top spot nationally.

ADU also excelled in three key indicators within the Business and Economics category: ‘Research Quality,’ ‘Research Environment,’ and ‘Teaching,’ earning first place in each.

In the field of Engineering, ADU achieved a joint fifth national ranking and was placed in the 301-400 bracket globally, while also securing first place nationally in the ‘Teaching’ indicator.

Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of ADU, highlighted the significance of these accomplishments, stating, “Our success in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025 underscores ADU’s dedication to academic excellence. Being recognized among top global institutions affirms our growing influence and critical role in shaping the future of education in the UAE and beyond. Marking its debut in the Computer Science rankings, ADU achieved a joint fourth-place position nationally and secured first place in the ‘Teaching’ indicator, placing within the global top 301-400. Additionally, ADU entered the Social Sciences rankings for the first time, sharing the top national position and ranking 251-300 globally. In the Social Sciences category, the university also earned first place in the ‘Teaching’ and ‘International Outlook’ indicators.
