Omani Foreign Minister receives Federal National Council Speaker

emirates7 - Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today with Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), who is visiting Oman at the head of a parliamentary delegation.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, focused on the strengthening strategic partnership between Oman and the UAE, which continues to grow across various sectors. Discussions also covered shared interests, regional developments, and the nations' mutual commitment to fostering security, peace, and stability both regionally and globally.

Both officials emphasized the strong, longstanding ties between the UAE and Oman, supported by the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman.

Ghobash underscored the importance of reciprocal high-level visits, highlighting that this visit reflects the UAE's and the FNC's dedication to enhancing collaboration in various areas, particularly in parliamentary coordination. He emphasized the critical role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing foreign policy, especially in light of current regional and international challenges.

He also praised Oman’s efforts in promoting peace and stability on both regional and global fronts, aligning with the UAE's principles of tolerance, cooperation, and fostering partnerships with sisterly and friendly nations to achieve collective security and prosperity.

Al Busaidi, in turn, reaffirmed the deep-rooted partnership between Oman and the UAE and expressed his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
