Introduced in May 2024 under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), the initiative is a key pillar of Dubai’s strategy to lead global AI adoption and innovation.
Over three years, the program will train one million participants, enhancing their professional and creative skills through generative AI. It aligns with the "Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI," an ambitious framework to foster specialized talent and drive AI integration across critical sectors. By advancing expertise in AI prompt engineering, the initiative reinforces Dubai’s leadership in technological innovation.
Saeed Al Falasi, Director of DCAI, noted that the program opens opportunities for individuals across diverse fields to advance AI adoption in technical, creative, and knowledge-based sectors. He stated, “Mastering AI prompt engineering enables participants to unlock innovative applications and drive global advancements, starting from Dubai.”

The initiative offers a comprehensive curriculum with four specialized modules:
1. Unleashing the Power of AI**: Covers foundational knowledge of AI, generative AI, and prompt literacy, preparing participants for an AI-driven future.
2. Commanding Conversations with AI Chatbots**: Focuses on advanced prompt engineering techniques for enhancing human-AI interactions.
3. AI-Powered Productivity Revolution**: Provides tools and strategies to leverage AI for optimizing workflows and improving productivity.
4. Creative Frontiers with Generative AI**: Explores the use of AI in creative domains such as art, music, and video production.
Participants who complete the program will earn accredited certificates, validating their expertise in AI prompt engineering.
The initiative builds on the success of the inaugural *Global Prompt Engineering Championship*, held in Dubai in May 2024, which attracted participants from nearly 100 countries. The competition featured 30 finalists from 13 nations across categories such as Coding, Art, and Literature, with winners including Ajay Cyril (India) for Coding, Megan Fowkes (Austria) for Art, and Aditya Nair (India) for Literature.
The second edition of the championship is scheduled for April 2025 during *Dubai AI Week*.
