Sharjah Executive Council discusses release of impounded vehicles’ fees

emirates7 - H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, chaired a Council meeting on Tuesday at the Ruler's office. H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, was also in attendance.

The meeting covered several agenda items, including evaluations of government departments and agencies and discussions on legal frameworks to strengthen the financial sector. These measures aim to boost Sharjah’s economic position and drive growth in key sectors.

One of the decisions made during the session concerned fees for releasing impounded vehicles in Sharjah. This applies to all vehicles and their owners or drivers across the emirate. The decision facilitates the return of vehicles impounded for severe violations, such as reckless driving or negligence that endangers public safety, once the legal impoundment period concludes.

The Council also reviewed plans and initiatives to support environmental conservation and reduce single-use plastics. These initiatives align with the emirate's commitment to sustainability and its efforts to maintain leadership in health and environmental matters.

The Council highlighted the importance of community involvement in promoting innovative environmental practices to further these goals.
