UAE President and Turkish FM discuss bilateral relations and regional developments

emirates7 - UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with His Excellency Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, to discuss strengthening cooperation across various fields, reflecting the strategic partnership between the two nations.

His Excellency Hakan Fidan conveyed greetings from His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Türkiye, along with his wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity. In response, His Highness extended his regards to President Erdogan, expressing his hopes for Türkiye’s sustained growth and development.

The discussions also touched on developments in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of intensifying efforts to prevent the escalation of regional conflicts that threaten security and stability. Both parties stressed the need to pursue a clear path toward peace, ensuring security and stability for all.

The leaders exchanged views on the situation in Syria, reaffirming their shared commitment to supporting Syria's stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. They emphasized their mutual support for the Syrian people's aspirations for security, stability, and development.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; and Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State.
