Indian businesses top list of new companies joining Dubai Chamber of Commerce in 9 months

emirates7 - A recent analysis by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three entities operating under Dubai Chambers, revealed that Indian investors led the list of new non-Emirati companies joining the chamber in the first nine months of 2024, with 12,142 new businesses registered.

The findings underscore Dubai’s continued appeal as a key destination for Indian entrepreneurs and investors.

Pakistan ranked second, with 6,061 new companies joining the chamber from January to September 2024, followed by Egypt, which registered 3,611 new member companies. Syrian companies accounted for 2,062 new registrations, placing Syria fourth on the list.

The United Kingdom ranked fifth, with 1,886 new companies becoming members, while Bangladesh secured the sixth spot with 1,669 companies joining during the same period. Iraq ranked seventh with 1,346 new registrations, and China followed in eighth place with 1,109 new companies joining.

Jordan claimed the ninth spot with 1,069 new companies, while Sudan rounded out the top ten with 1,007 new businesses registering during the first three quarters of 2024.

In terms of sectoral distribution, the trade and services sector ranked first, accounting for 41.5% of all new member companies. The real estate, renting, and business services sector followed in second place with 33.3%, while the construction sector ranked third at 10.4%. The transport, storage, and communications sector came in fourth at 8.6%, and the social and personal services sector secured fifth place with 6.8%.
