Dubai Chambers, China Machinery Industry Federation strengthen cooperation

emirates7 - Dubai Chambers recently hosted a roundtable in Beijing in partnership with the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) to attract companies specialising in advanced technologies, aligning with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). The event aimed to boost cooperation and support the expansion of Chinese industrial firms into Dubai.

During the event, Dubai Chambers and CMIF signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Niansha Xu, Chairman of CMIF.

The MoU aims to deepen bilateral cooperation, strengthen links between business communities in both regions, and a structured approach to exploring mutual opportunities across strategic sectors.

Lootah stated, “We are committed to reinforcing economic ties between Dubai and China and enhancing collaboration in key areas—particularly within the industrial sector. This partnership will unlock new opportunities for the private sector and support sustainable economic development. We continue to support Chinese industrial firms in harnessing Dubai’s competitive advantages as a global business hub.”

As part of the agreement, Dubai Chambers will offer extensive support to CMIF-affiliated companies seeking to set up and grow in Dubai, helping them tap into the emirate’s attractive business environment.

In turn, CMIF will assist Dubai-based companies in establishing partnerships with counterparts in mainland China. Both parties will also enhance collaboration in trade exhibitions, business delegations, and the exchange of economic and commercial data.

The roundtable gathered officials and representatives from prominent Chinese companies and industrial associations across sectors such as automotive, construction, machinery, agriculture, and water purification. The discussions centered on boosting two-way trade and investment, and on leveraging Dubai’s trade exhibitions as platforms for Chinese manufacturers to scale regionally and globally.

Participants also examined Dubai’s increasing emphasis on emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and robotics. The event underscored Dubai Chambers’ role in helping both Chinese SMEs and large industrial firms use Dubai as a launchpad into global markets.

Potential strategic partnerships between Dubai Chambers and CMIF, along with its affiliated entities, were also explored to further attract Chinese industrial firms to establish a presence in the emirate.
