This globally acclaimed initiative honors individuals, organizations, and projects that are reshaping urban growth, adaptability, and sustainability. It serves as a catalyst for collaboration between public and private sectors, highlighting the role of technological advancements and sustainable practices.
Walid Farghal, Director-General of AIM Congress, stated, “The Future Cities Awards recognize transformative contributions to urban landscapes through innovative ideas and impactful projects. This platform celebrates visionary efforts to enhance quality of life and build a sustainable future.”
The 2025 awards feature seven categories, each celebrating specific areas of urban development:
City of the Future Award: For cities implementing innovative policies and leveraging technology to improve public services and citizen empowerment.
Social Impact Award: For initiatives fostering equity, inclusivity, and resilience within urban communities.
Future Mobility for All Award: Recognizing progress in sustainable and accessible transportation systems.
Sustainable and Green Solutions Award: Celebrating eco-friendly urban development projects.
Smart Infrastructure Award: Acknowledging the use of smart technologies to enhance urban living and connectivity.
Innovation Award: Highlighting groundbreaking solutions from the private sector.
Future City Pioneer Award: Honoring individuals leading significant advancements in sustainable urban development.
Winners will benefit from global recognition through AIM’s extensive network, boosting their visibility and reputation within the urban development sector.
A panel of distinguished experts in urban planning, sustainability, technology, and policy will evaluate submissions based on criteria such as innovation, impact, global reach, feasibility, and visionary leadership. Finalists will be notified by 10th March 2025, with winners announced at the awards ceremony on 8th April 2025.
