emirates7 - The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) has partnered with Pact Carbon to launch a pilot project aimed at promoting the use of electric bicycles. The agreement also includes conducting a study to assess opportunities for expanding the collaboration, aligning with the UAE’s national goals for advancing green and sustainable mobility.
Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI, highlighted the significance of the initiative in the UAE's efforts to achieve sustainable transportation, lower carbon emissions, and foster a transition to eco-friendly mobility solutions.
"The ministry is dedicated to advancing green mobility and achieving climate neutrality by minimizing the carbon footprint in the transportation sector and encouraging the adoption of sustainable options like electric bicycles," Al Olama stated.
