emirates7 - International Humanitarian Charity Organisation (IHCO) has revealed that it had spent AED218 million on humanitarian and charitable projects inside the country from 2017 to 2021.
Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of IHCO Board of Trustees, said that beneficiaries of these projects crossed 135,000.
Khaled Abdel-Wahab Al-Khaja, Secretary-General of IHCO, said of these funds AED86 million was channelled into sponsorship of families, AED77 million was directed for food aid, financial assistance and social support programmes, AED31 million for health assistance, AED16 million for seasonal programmes including Ramadan iftar, zakat and haj and umrah, and AED8 million for educational assistance.
