Ajman Ruler opens Aisha Mosque in Morocco

emirates7 - H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, officially opened the Aisha Mosque in Aïn El Aouda, a city near Morocco's capital, Rabat.

The mosque, funded by Sheikh Humaid, reflects his dedication to fostering spiritual and humanitarian values while contributing to the local community.

Sheikh Humaid described the mosque as a significant Islamic landmark designed to benefit the residents of Aïn El Aouda. The initiative aims to support the local community and strengthen the enduring ties between the UAE and Morocco.

He also emphasized the deep-rooted fraternal and historical bonds between the two nations, originally established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late King Hassan II. These strong relations continue to thrive under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

Sheikh Humaid performed the Juma’a prayer at the newly inaugurated mosque, joined by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, senior officials from both nations, and local worshippers.

Built in a traditional Islamic architectural style, the mosque covers a total area of 16,000 square meters, with a built-up area of 3,900 square meters.

The residents of Aïn El Aouda expressed their gratitude to Sheikh Humaid for his generous initiative, offering prayers for his health and continued prosperity for the UAE.
