Dubai hosts over 60 startups, entrepreneurs for AI Connect event

emirates7 - The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) hosted the AI Connect event today, bringing together over 60 startups, entrepreneurs, government entities, and investment institutions to promote AI adoption in the government sector.

Organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), the event featured agreements between startups and government organizations to co-develop AI applications and solutions in Dubai.

AI Connect is part of DCAI’s efforts to align startups with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, furthering its strategic objectives and strengthening Dubai’s position as a global hub for AI innovation.

During the event, Saeed Al Falasi, Director of DCAI, highlighted several innovative AI projects and use cases within Dubai’s government aimed at addressing key challenges and improving operations.

Startups and government entities, such as Musafir, AI Camp, Pixonal, Enterprise Bot, and Aqtab, participated in a panel discussion, sharing success stories and emphasizing the crucial role of government support in transforming ideas into reality.

Delegates were also briefed on the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation.

The blueprint outlines a roadmap to enhance the quality of life in Dubai through various AI applications, with a focus on fostering an ideal environment for AI startups and attracting global talent. This environment is built on ease of doing business, advanced digital infrastructure, and flexible regulatory frameworks.

AI Connect also addressed the need to increase female participation in AI and discussed strategies for overcoming challenges in AI development and integration.
