Led by subject matter experts, the workshops offer around 240 training hours and address the specific needs of educators, as well as relevant scientific, technical, and essential skills advancements. The goal is to improve educational outcomes, enhance performance, and support national education indicators.
Mohammed Al Qasim, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education, stated, “The Specialised Training Week is focused on developing educational professionals by improving teaching strategies, adopting innovative methods, and equipping educators with digital skills to make use of modern tools. It promotes research and development, enhances practices at institutional and national levels, and provides a platform for teachers to share experiences, thus enriching knowledge and supporting sustainable educational growth.”
Al Qasim added, “We are committed to creating a comprehensive system to assess the training needs of educational leaders and teachers, aligning with both national and global professional standards, in order to design programs that improve satisfaction, classroom performance, and student outcomes.”
The Ministry is overseeing the Specialised Training Week through its Professional Development Department, which manages the implementation of frameworks to assess the training needs of educators and school leaders and develop professional training plans based on performance indicators.
