‘DP World Australia’ acquires ‘Silk Logistics’

emirates7 - DP World Australia, a subsidiary of DP World, has signed a binding Scheme Implementation Deed to acquire 100% of Silk Logistics Holdings Limited's issued share capital through a Scheme of Arrangement, offering A$2.14 per share in cash.

This acquisition values Silk Logistics' equity at approximately A$174.5 million. The deal, subject to shareholder approval and standard regulatory clearances, is anticipated to close in the first half of 2025.

Silk Logistics is a comprehensive port-to-door logistics provider, managing 21 logistics hubs and 25 warehousing sites across five Australian states. Its operations focus on two key segments: Port Logistics, which facilitates seamless wharf cartage between major Australian ports, and Contract Logistics, offering warehousing and multimodal distribution services to support complex supply chains.

DP World Australia, as part of DP World—a global transport and logistics leader handling about 10% of global container trade—operates four container terminals and three container parks in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Fremantle, along with inland distribution centers and warehouses.
