This relocation supports the Council’s vision of creating a flexible and efficient work environment that nurtures local talent, attracts international expertise, and keeps up with the fast-paced changes in the media industry.
The inauguration event was attended by key figures including Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary-General of the UAE Media Council; Maitha Majed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Media Strategy and Policy Sector; Abdulla Belhoul, CEO of TECOM Group; Majed Al Suwaidi, Managing Director of Dubai Media City; and Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President of Commercial Leasing at TECOM Group.
During his tour of the new facility, strategically located in one of the world’s leading media hubs, Abdulla Al Hamed highlighted that the new headquarters will strengthen the Council’s ability to form effective partnerships with top institutions and enhance its role in anticipating and shaping the future of media with increased efficiency and agility.
The new building also symbolizes the Council’s ongoing commitment to developing its institutional framework to support its strategic goals.
In a meeting with the Council’s staff, Al Hamed emphasized that the headquarters represents the Council’s vision to a progressive regulatory environment that fosters national talent, encourages creativity, and places human capital at the core of media advancement.
He stressed the need to maintain the momentum achieved since the Council’s establishment and called for intensified efforts in the upcoming period, especially in implementing media policies and initiatives consistent with the new media framework. This includes integrated laws and services aimed at enhancing sector competitiveness, driving growth, and creating opportunities for local content and emerging media projects.
