emirates7 - The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (UAEICP) to enhance collaboration through the implementation of a "single window" system. This initiative aims to streamline and improve the processes involved in issuing and renewing licenses for economic establishments in Sharjah.
The agreement is part of a shared goal to strengthen institutional partnerships among government agencies, enhancing regulatory services by utilizing modern technology for customer benefit. The MoU was signed by Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of SEDD, and Brigadier Arif Mohammed Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah.
The objective of the MoU is to advance digital transformation in all licensing transactions in Sharjah, thereby improving the customer experience and facilitating the integration of government procedures into a comprehensive digital system.
In his remarks, Hamad Ali Abdulla Al Mahmoud emphasized that the signing of this MoU reflects SEDD’s commitment to enhancing government services in alignment with the vision of the wise leadership. This initiative is designed to improve the business environment and attract investments.
