UAE and Serbian Presidents discuss strengthening strategic partnership in Belgrade

emirates7 - UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to discuss the extensive strategic partnership between their nations and explore opportunities for enhanced cooperation that would benefit both countries. Their discussions also covered various regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The meeting took place in Belgrade, where President Vucic welcomed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and his delegation during the latter’s working visit to Serbia.

President Vucic expressed gratitude for Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's visit, emphasizing that it strengthens the expanding partnership between the two nations across multiple fields, ultimately supporting their shared aspirations for growth and prosperity.

During their discussions, the leaders reviewed the progress of their strategic partnership, focusing on investment, economy, trade, technology, food security, renewable energy, and other collaborative opportunities.

The two presidents also addressed several regional and international matters, highlighting the importance of seeking peaceful solutions to various crises that impede development and prosperity both regionally and globally.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to cooperation and dialogue as essential means for resolving disputes peacefully for the benefit of all. He emphasized the UAE's strong support for peace and stability in the Balkans, underscoring the significance of its relations with countries in the region, particularly Serbia.

He noted that UAE-Serbia relations have been consistently improving, especially following the signing of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two nations.

Additionally, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed reiterated the UAE's belief in the connection between development, peace, and stability, as well as the need for global cooperation. He stressed that economic, investment, and trade collaboration should be prioritized to a better future for all.

He pointed out that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and Serbia is a critical step toward strengthening economic ties, benefiting both the government and private sectors. This agreement is expected to enhance trade and investment between the two nations. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also highlighted that Serbia's inclusion in the UAE’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement program reflects a mutual recognition of the many opportunities that both countries can utilize to ensure a brighter future for their citizens.

The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and other senior officials from both nations, including ministers and advisors.
