emirates7 - Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI) participated in the 6th edition of the Future Food Forum as the official sponsor and Export Acceleration Partner. This event, which concluded today in Dubai, is the largest annual gathering for stakeholders in the Middle East’s food and beverage sector. It was held in collaboration with Dubai Chambers, supported by Food Tech Valley, and sponsored by various F&B manufacturers in the UAE.
The forum, centered on the theme ‘Collaboration, Innovation, and Development,’ focused on key topics such as regional food security, sustainability, innovation, and consumer health protection. Participants also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Raja Al Mazroui, CEO of ECI, highlighted that the company's role as an official sponsor demonstrates its commitment to innovation and sustainability. She emphasized that these principles are essential for addressing food sector challenges related to climate change, creating new opportunities in the global food industry, and fostering a flexible and sustainable food ecosystem in the region.
Al Mazroui added, "Our involvement in the Future Food Forum 2024 reflects ECI's dedication to supporting the F&B sector, one of the primary industries we provide credit assistance to. As of 2024, more than 20 businesses in this sector have benefited from our credit support services." She further noted that ECI’s total credit coverage for the third quarter of the year reached AED8 billion, with insured returns amounting to AED2.6 billion.

The forum’s key themes – ‘Future Food,’ ‘Future Government,’ and ‘Future Consumer’ – underscored the strong link between the industry’s future and factors like consumer behavior, government policies, and the core commodities being produced.
