‘TRENDS’ joins GDI-PartNIR network

emirates7 - TRENDS Research & Advisory has officially joined the GDI-PartNIR network, as announced during the BRICS Forum in Xiamen, China. This makes TRENDS the first think tank from the Middle East to become a member of this global network, which welcomed 23 new members in 2024.

TRENDS was selected for its research on regionally and globally significant issues, which contributes to a better understanding of various policy matters.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, expressed his pleasure at the center's acceptance into the GDI-PartNIR network, emphasizing that this milestone reflects TRENDS' dedication to promoting international cooperation in scientific research and knowledge sharing. He is optimistic that this partnership will enhance relations between the Middle East and China, paving the way for collaboration across multiple sectors.

The GDI-PartNIR network is aligned with President Xi Jinping's Global Development Initiative, focusing on promoting shared development opportunities in areas such as green development, new industrialization, and the digital economy.

TRENDS' membership is anticipated to bolster its collaborations with Chinese think tanks and broaden its focus on addressing global challenges of mutual interest, including sustainable development, climate issues, and digital transformation.
