Dubai: New bridge opens on Al Khail road to improve traffic towards Deira

emirates7 - A new bridge on Al Khail Road, located between the Al Khamila and Hessa Street intersections, has been inaugurated, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Monday. This initiative aims to alleviate traffic flow towards Deira.

The two-lane bridge, capable of handling 3,200 vehicles per hour, is part of a project that also included upgrades to surface roads over a 900-meter stretch.

According to the RTA, the 700-meter bridge will "improve traffic from Jumeirah Village Circle to Al Khail Road towards Deira, enhancing connectivity between residential and development areas for better transport efficiency."

Additionally, on September 15, RTA opened two new bridges in Dubai as part of the Garn Al Sabkha-Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road Intersection Improvement Project. This development is expected to reduce motorists' travel time by up to 70%, stated Mattar Al Tayer, director-general and chairman of the Board of Executive Directors at RTA.
