Global speakers from 30+ countries to headline inaugural Data & Community Development Forum

emirates7 - Dignitaries, policymakers, government officials, and specialists in data, statistics, and economic fields from over 30 nations, including the UAE, Slovakia, the UK, Jordan, Switzerland, Italy, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, and others, will gather for the first-ever ‘Regional Data and Community Development Forum’ on 9th-10th October at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre in Sharjah. The event is organised by the Department of Statistics and Community Development (DSCD).

Among the keynote speakers are Andrej Kiska, former President of Slovakia; Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations in Sharjah; Professor Dr. Ger Graus, Global Education Adviser; James Hardy, former Head of Europe at Alibaba; and Chris Barton, Founder and former CEO of Shazam.

The forum will also feature notable figures such as Rafael Diez de Medina, Director of the Department of Statistics and Chief Statistician at the International Labour Office (ILO); Robert Ndugwa, Head of the Global Urban Observatory Unit at UN-Habitat; and Dr. Haidar Fraihat, Director-General of Jordan's Department of Statistics. They will be joined by Piero Demetrio, a statistics expert and international consultant from Rome University La Sapienza; Dr. Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Dossari, President of Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Statistics; and Dr. Saif Juma Al Dhaheri, Director of the National Operations Centre at NCEMA.
