New field survey launched to improve utilisation of government-provided housing units in Abu Dhabi

emirates7 - In collaboration with the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) has launched a new field survey as part of an initiative to optimize the use of government-provided housing across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.

This initiative focuses on fostering sustainable and integrated communities within the emirate. The field survey will assess vacant government-provided homes and investigate properties that are being misused for commercial purposes or rented out.

As part of the campaign, ADHA will also provide property owners with various solutions, such as offering loans for maintenance, demolition, or reconstruction of these housing units.

Additionally, the campaign aims to increase public understanding of the rules governing government-provided housing in Abu Dhabi. It will emphasize the consequences of vacant and improperly used homes, while encouraging collaboration with residents to enhance the quality of government housing.

The survey is a continuation of ADHA and DMT’s efforts to boost community awareness regarding the effects of unused or misused housing and ensure the upkeep of these properties across the emirate.
