emirates7 - The Madrasa e-learning platform, part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), has joined forces with TikTok following the launch of the platform’s globally successful STEM Feed in the UAE.
This collaboration brings Madrasa’s extensive Arabic-language educational library—the largest of its kind—to TikTok, marking a significant step in both organisations’ efforts to broaden access to education, encourage innovation, and uplift communities across the Arab world.
The partnership was officially announced during a cooperation agreement signing ceremony attended by Saeed Al Eter, Assistant Secretary-General of MBRGI; Dr. Waleed Al Ali, General Coordinator of the Madrasa.org platform; and Kinda Ibrahim, TikTok’s Regional General Manager of Operations for the Middle East, Türkiye, Africa, Pakistan, and South Asia.
The initiative aims to deliver reliable, high-quality educational content in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to millions of Arab youth through engaging and modern formats tailored to today’s learners.
Dr. Al Ali highlighted MBRGI’s ongoing efforts to form strategic partnerships and educational initiatives that reflect the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. That vision centres on education as a key pillar for building a generation equipped to drive positive change in society.
He added that MBRGI remains committed to fulfilling Sheikh Mohammed’s directives to a world-class educational environment that empowers Arab students with contemporary knowledge and skills, encouraging their creativity and contributions to a knowledge-driven future.
“Making the largest free Arabic educational video library available on TikTok represents a major milestone for Madrasa,” said Dr. Al Ali. “This new phase supports self-learning and gives Arab students access to vital knowledge through a dynamic and innovative educational approach that merges structured learning with the broad appeal of social media and educational video content.”
He noted that this move builds on Madrasa’s achievements since its 2018 launch, citing the platform’s rising video views, expanding user base, and international recognition for its role in promoting self-directed learning and reinforcing the Arabic language among younger audiences.
Kinda Ibrahim emphasised TikTok’s commitment to education, saying, “Bringing the STEM Feed to the UAE strengthens our goal of empowering future innovators. With nearly 10 million STEM-related videos posted globally on TikTok in the past three years, the demand for quality educational content is undeniable.”
The partnership further supports Madrasa’s mission to elevate Arabic as a language of science and learning. Since its inception, the platform has offered more than 7,000 interactive lessons across STEM fields and Arabic language subjects, earning acclaim from global institutions such as UNESCO and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).
The STEM Feed is now live and accessible to all users. Those aged 18 and over can enable it via their TikTok app settings by navigating to Content Preferences and turning on the STEM Feed option.
The feed will feature top STEM creators such as @Da7ee7, @annanscience, @anastalks, @hussienelkazaz, @guinessandmathguy, @moqasem, and @lklogic, along with content from trusted Arabic knowledge platforms like Majarra.
To ensure the accuracy and quality of content, TikTok’s internal teams will work alongside Common Sense Networks and Poynter to vet all material featured in the STEM Feed. Common Sense Networks will assess the educational value, while Poynter will fact-check the content. Any material failing to meet their standards will be excluded from the feed.
