emirates7 - The World Congress on Rehabilitation (WCR) 2024 began in Abu Dhabi on Monday, focusing on the theme of "Work and Employment." Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO), the event seeks to tackle global challenges faced by People of Determination in the workforce and raise awareness about their rights and contributions to development.

Running until 25th September at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), the congress is organised by the ZHO in collaboration with RI Global and the International Social Security Association (ISSA).

This is the first time the event is being hosted in the Middle East, drawing over 500 participants from more than 70 countries, including top experts, academics, and researchers in rehabilitation and healthcare.
