emirates7 - The UAE National Pavilion is set to participate in the inaugural Egypt International Airshow, taking place in Al Alamein city from September 3rd to 5th. The pavilion will feature an exhibition space dedicated to showcasing the UAE’s defence capabilities and technological advancements.
The airshow, held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, aims to advance manufacturing, digitalisation, and globalisation within the aerospace sectors of the Middle East and Africa. It provides a key platform for space agencies and satellite operators to discuss innovations in space exploration, satellite communications, and the civil and military applications of space technology.
The event will also feature an open-air display of various aircraft models—ranging from civil and defence to unmanned aircraft—alongside professional air shows by elite aerobatic teams.
Supported by the UAE Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, and organized by the Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC), the UAE National Pavilion will display a wide array of advanced defence technologies and products from leading UAE-based companies such as EDGE Group, Calidus Aerospace, Sanad, Remah International Group, AAL Group, Al Jundi, and Capital Events. The event will see participation from 300 major international aerospace manufacturers from 100 countries.
The UAE’s participation reflects the capabilities of its national companies in developing and manufacturing cutting-edge defence solutions, underscoring their competitive edge on the global stage. The National Pavilion will showcase more than 50 products made in the UAE, reinforcing the nation’s status as a regional and global leader in the defence and aviation industries.
Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairwoman of EDCC, stated that the UAE’s involvement in the airunderscores its commitment to fostering strong relations with Egypt and enhancing regional cooperation in the defence sector. She highlighted the UAE's focus on technology transfer and knowledge sharing, with the aim of showcasing advanced technologies developed by national companies and exploring collaborative opportunities with Egyptian and international partners.
