Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the Ministerial Development Council held its meeting on Wednesday at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, discussing a number of initiatives and legislations designed to support the development of the government work ecosystem.
The Council’s agenda included discussions of developing legislations of judicial system, and policies related to social security in the UAE.
The discussions also included, proposals for new classes of shares by public shareholding companies in the country, the mechanisms for collecting federal government revenues, and the results of implementing the professional licensing system for workers in the education sector.
During the meeting, the Council discussed the mechanisms of implementing the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage of 1969, the 1992 Civil Liability Convention (1992 CLC) protocol, and the agreement on the International Oil Pollution Compensation Fund 1992 (IOPC Fund 1992).
Also, the meeting reviewed the recommendations of the Federal National Council of the UAE regarding the policy of the Ministry of Economy to support the tourism sector. In addition, the Council discussed proposals about reformation of a number of federal committees, including the Higher Committee for People of Determination Services in the UAE, the UAE’s National Committee on SDGs, and the UAE National Committee for World Energy Council.
The Council discussed and reviewed a number of government reports, in addition to reviewing reports on the achievements of a number of Federal Councils for the year 2021.
