SFD celebrates winners of 6th Financial Excellence Performance Award

emirates7 - The Sharjah Finance Department (SFD) celebrated the winners of the 6th Financial Excellence Performance Award for 2024–2025 during a ceremony held at Al Qasimia University.

The event was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of SFD, alongside SFD Director-General Waleed Al Sayegh and several high-ranking officials.

This year's award cycle witnessed remarkable engagement, with over 60 government and independent entities and more than 700 finance professionals taking part across a range of institutional and individual award categories.

Commenting on the event, Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, SFD Director, stated that the 2024–2025 edition was designed to reflect evolving trends in the financial sector. New categories were introduced—such as "Leading Entity in Applying Taxation Standards," "Outstanding Tax Analyst," and "Outstanding Assets and Inventory Controller"—to promote tax compliance and enhance public resource management.

He emphasized that financial excellence is now defined not just by figures, but by the capacity of institutions to deliver sustainable, impactful outcomes in the stewardship of public funds.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi presented awards across 12 institutional and 13 individual categories, underscoring the initiative's aim to strengthen government leadership in financial management and foster professional expertise in the field.

Through this award, SFD reaffirms its ongoing commitment to advancing governance, transparency, and innovation in public financial practices.
