emirates7 - The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation said the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan had established a distinguished humanitarian approach to giving and charity work, which exceeded geographical borders.
In his speech on the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Day on 19th Ramadan, Mohammed Haji Al Khouri, Director-General of the Foundation, said the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has adopted a model to be followed of carrying out humanitarian work.
The foundation, led by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, is working, in line with a comprehensive vision established by the late Sheikh Zayed, he added, noting that its charity and humanitarian initiatives aim to improve people’s lives, and the country has achieved progress in its humanitarian efforts due to this vision.
The UAE has provided foreign aid worth over AED275 billion since its establishment, underscoring the country’s giving over five decades, Al Khouri said.
