emirates7 - The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) held a meeting titled "Planning for Early Childhood" at the headquarters of the academy, where it reviewed the framework of the authority’s strategy 2022-2024 and discussed the importance of aligning the operational plans of nurseries in line with the main priorities of the authority.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhadtha Al Hashemi, Chairman of the Sharjah Private Education Authority; Ali Al Hosani, Director of the authority; members of the Board of Directors of Nurseries in its first session, and several directors of departments in the authority and many managers of nurseries and those involved in early childhood curricula and programmes.
The attendees discussed ways to improve and develop programmes, curricula and activities for early childhood care and harmonise work in private nurseries in the Emirate of Sharjah in line with the authority's strategy 2022-2024, and in line with its vision of achieving an education.
While welcoming the attendees, Al Hashemi stressed the importance of the early childhood stage, which provides the child with the necessary skills. She described this stage as the cornerstone of the educational process, praising in this context the efforts of the workers and their follow-up to meetings, programmes and activities concerned with the development of work tools to enhance the efficiency of performance in early childhood through their participation in pioneering and qualitative ideas.
She pointed out the importance of the interactive meetings to complete the achieved achievements, continue to adopt the best international methodologies, benefit from experiences to enhance the educational scene, and provide a conducive environment for children, in line with the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to leadership generations capable of serving society and advance its sustainable development to ensure a safe and sustainable future.
Dr. Al Hashemi highlighted the great responsibility of officials and workers in the education and early childhood care sector in the emirate, chosen as a child-friendly emirate, stressing the importance of participatory work in the context of a comprehensive system to support the child in his early stages of development.
For his part, Ali Al Hosani explained the importance of focusing on early childhood, and its development according to the highest international standards, while ensuring the application of best educational practices, as it is one of the most essential stages where children acquire future skills. Al Hosani has further pointed out that the early childhood planning meeting is critical, as it contains pioneering ideas and proposals, which may contribute to building on the gains achieved by early childhood programs and curricula.
The meeting concluded after appreciating the efforts of the 12 members of the first session of the Board of Nurseries managers, formed in 2020. It was also announced that the new council would be reconstituted to develop the environment of nurseries and ensure the highest international standards of services.
