MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH THE AKTARLI GROUP FOR SIX PROPERTIES IN TURKEY
emirates7 - Marriott International, Inc. today announced it has signed an agreement with The Aktarlı Group to open six properties in prime locations across Turkey. The agreement marks the introduction of the Tribute Portfolio in Turkey, and further expands the Autograph Collection Hotels, The Luxury Collection and AC Hotels brands throughout the country.



“We are delighted to work with The Aktarlı Group to further enhance our footprint in the country with this signing of six hotels,” said Paul Rosenberg, Vice President Development, Europe, Marriott International. “Marriott International has a strong history of successful operations in the Turkish market which continues to present great opportunities for us to expand our portfolio, and we remain committed to supporting the growth of the country’s tourism sector.



Today’s agreement includes six adaptive reuse and conversion projects in vibrant areas of Istanbul and Izmir. Close to the city’s embassies and museums, Adahan Pera Istanbul, Autograph Collection is slated to open in 2022. DeCamondo Galata, Istanbul, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel compromised of three historic buildings is also slated to open next year. AC by Marriott Istanbul Old Town and two Luxury Collection properties, Legacy Ottoman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul and Sansaryan Han, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul, are anticipated to open in 2023. The new-build AC by Marriott Izmir Karşıyaka will be situated on the coastline of Izmir and is slated to open in 2022.

Adahan Pera Istanbul, Autograph Collection, DeCamondo Galata, Istanbul, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel and AC by Marriott Izmir Karşıyaka will be operated by Access Hospitality, on behalf of The Aktarlı Group.
