Dubai Metro timings extended for Green Day concert at Expo City

emirates7 - On Monday, January 27, the Dubai Metro Red Line will extend its operating hours from Expo 2020 station to accommodate fans attending the much-anticipated Green Day concert at Expo 2020 station. The punk-rock band’s first-ever Middle East performance is expected to draw 30,000 attendees. The concert will be held at Expo City Dubai, with metro services running until 1:30am, ensuring easy transportation for concert-goers. Typically, the last train departs Expo station at 10:44pm, but tonight it will leave at 12:05am. Concert-goers are advised to arrive early as doors open at 5pm to avoid delays.

Getting to Expo City
By Metro: The fastest and most eco-friendly option, the Dubai Metro Red Line will take you directly to Expo 2020 station, located in the heart of Expo City Dubai.

By Car: For those driving, parking facilities are available near the venue for a smooth experience. Follow Expo Road (E77) off Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan al Nahyan Street (D54).

By Taxi: Taxis will be available around Dubai and at the concert venue. Dedicated taxi services will assist in transporting attendees directly to the venue.

Time Grammy Award Winners
The concert marks a significant event for rock fans in the region. Green Day will perform a selection of their greatest hits, including tracks from iconic albums like American Idiot and Dookie, alongside songs from their latest album, Saviors. Since forming in 1986, Green Day has sold over 75 million records worldwide, won five Grammy Awards, and 11 MTV Video Music Awards. The band expressed their excitement, saying, "We can’t wait to rock with our loyal fans in the Middle East in the New Year!"

Tickets for the event are still available on Platinumlist, with prices starting at Dh445 for Rear Standing tickets. Various seating options, including Golden Circle and VIP hospitality lounge tickets, are also available.

Venue Access
Fans must bring their ticket with a clear, undamaged barcode and may need to present their email booking confirmation along with a valid photo ID matching the name on the confirmation. Accepted IDs include a current driver’s license, a recent passport, or the original Emirates ID.

Professional cameras (with removable lenses), video, and recording equipment are not allowed at the venue. However, personal-use cameras and smartphones are permitted. No camera drop-off service is available.

Age restrictions will be clearly indicated on the ticket sales pages, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
