UAE President, King of Jordan discuss bilateral relations, regional developments

emirates7 - President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting today with His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan in Abu Dhabi, where they discussed the strong bilateral relations between their nations and recent regional developments. The meeting, part of King Abdullah’s fraternal visit, focused on continuing consultations on issues of mutual concern, especially in light of recent regional events.

The two leaders reviewed the situation in Syria, reaffirming their countries' support for Syria's unity, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. They emphasized the importance of preserving Syria’s national institutions and expressed their commitment to backing initiatives that reflect the aspirations of the Syrian people, underlining Syria's stability as crucial to regional and Arab security. They also highlighted the need to strengthen efforts to maintain regional stability and prevent further conflicts.

The meeting was attended by key UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and other prominent leaders such as H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. From Jordan, attendees included His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah, Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi, among other senior officials. Earlier, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed King Abdullah’s arrival at Abu Dhabi’s Al Bateen Airport.
