ADJD, Global Group sign MoU to oversee rehabilitation, correctional centres

emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Global Security Services Group to manage operations in the rehabilitation and correctional centres sector. The agreement is aimed at supporting inmates' rights and facilitating their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

This initiative, the first of its kind in the Middle East, enables private sector companies to oversee operations in correctional and rehabilitation facilities. The partnership seeks to strengthen public-private collaborations by applying innovative solutions, processes, and global best practices to improve operational efficiency and a supportive environment for inmates' rehabilitation and reintegration.

Counsellor Yousef Al-Abri, ADJD Undersecretary, emphasized that this MoU aligns with the department's efforts to modernize and enhance services, improving Abu Dhabi’s competitiveness on the global stage.

Al-Abri also highlighted the department’s commitment to ongoing development in this sector, focusing on implementing systems and programs that ensure the safety and security of inmates and specialized staff, while upholding high standards of service delivery.
