Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary General of the UAE Media Council, emphasized that the meeting reflects the strong bonds among Arab nations and their shared commitment to advancing Arab media to keep up with rapid developments. He stated that media plays a crucial role in shaping informed societies, strengthening international ties, and promoting shared human values. Al Shehhi highlighted the need for Arab media to become a leading global force, driving innovation and leveraging Arab resources and talents, particularly in the face of the digital revolution and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence.
He stressed that despite technological advancements, media remains fundamentally about humanitarian values, and Arab nations must focus on promoting tolerance, coexistence, and mutual respect, while combating hate speech, violence, and extremism. Al Shehhi also pointed out the interconnectedness of today’s global media landscape, calling for greater coordination among Arab nations to ensure that Arab media leaves a distinctive mark internationally, representing the aspirations of Arab communities and contributing to global dialogue.

Additionally, participants examined the Arab Media Map for Sustainable Development 2030, strategies to negotiate with international media companies, and ongoing efforts to enhance media literacy and professional development among Arab media professionals.
