emirates7 - The UAE government's Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office has announced a new partnership with UiPath, a leading enterprise automation and AI company, to advance Agentic Automation—an innovative approach to automation driven by AI.
This collaboration will focus on developing AI-powered automation solutions across government entities while equipping UAE talent with essential AI skills. The Memorandum of Understanding, which aligns with the UAE National Strategy for AI and supports the nation’s vision to become a global AI leader by 2031, was signed by Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Daniel Dines, Founder and CEO of UiPath, along with the UiPath team.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director of the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, highlighted the UAE government's commitment to forming partnerships with entrepreneurs and private sector companies specializing in advanced technologies to achieve the objectives of the UAE National Strategy for AI. He added that AI-powered automation would play a critical role in enhancing government services, supporting workforce development, and preparing employees for AI-driven roles.
Zakaria Haltout, Area Vice President for the Middle East and Africa at UiPath, emphasized that the UAE has quickly recognized and harnessed the potential of AI. He expressed excitement about the partnership, which aims to integrate AI-powered automation into government operations and provide valuable AI skills to government employees and graduates, furthering the UAE’s ambition to become a global AI leader and new opportunities in the economic, educational, and social spheres.
As part of the partnership, UiPath will help an AI and automation training program for up to 100 government employees or students. UiPath will also support the upskilling of participants in Coders HQ, an initiative under the National Programme for Coders. Those enrolled will gain critical automation and AI skills using the UiPath Business Automation Platform and will have the opportunity to earn UiPath Certified credentials through the UiPath Academy.
Furthermore, UiPath and the Office will jointly develop a program vision and roadmap to help government-backed companies and startups adopt AI and automation technologies. The collaboration will include pilot projects to explore the capabilities of the UiPath Business Automation Platform and workshops to raise awareness about the benefits of AI-powered automation, aiming to improve operational efficiency and enhance public services.
