emirates7 - On behalf of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, led the UAE delegation to the 45th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, which opened today in Kuwait. The summit was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.
The UAE delegation included prominent figures such as H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mohammed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Abdullah bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice; Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; and several senior officials.
In his statement, Sheikh Mansour thanked His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, and the State of Kuwait for their warm hospitality and excellent summit organization. He also expressed appreciation to the GCC General Secretariat for their efforts in organizing the summit, hoping it would lead to decisions that enhance joint GCC action, serve the interests of the member states' peoples, and fulfill their aspirations. Sheikh Mansour also thanked Qatar for its efforts during its presidency of the 44th GCC Summit.
He emphasized that strengthening Gulf cooperation is essential for advancing the interests of the GCC member states and their peoples, supporting regional stability, and fostering development. He stressed the importance of building on the significant achievements of the past decades to further integrate and benefit the people of the GCC countries.
Sheikh Mansour reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting the integration process among GCC member states, based on the strong fraternal bonds between them and the opportunities for cooperation to achieve common goals.
He also extended an invitation to the GCC leaders to attend the 46th GCC Summit, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
