emirates7 - Dubai Police has called on the public to adhere to the guidelines for the 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations to ensure a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience for everyone while minimizing risks and disruptions.
The guidelines emphasize avoiding participation in unauthorized marches or gatherings, following traffic rules, complying with instructions from police officers, and refraining from the use of party sprays by drivers, passengers, or pedestrians.
Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Acting Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs and Head of the Event Security Committee at Dubai Police, highlighted the importance of maintaining clear visibility of vehicle license plates, avoiding alterations to vehicle colors or windshield tints, and only applying stickers, signs, or logos approved for Eid Al Etihad under official regulations.
He also reminded the public that it is prohibited to cover vehicle windows with stickers, use sunshades that obstruct visibility, perform stunts on roads, or block traffic. Furthermore, vehicles must not undergo unauthorized modifications or be equipped with unlicensed features that cause excessive noise or impair visibility. Overloading vehicles with passengers or allowing individuals to hang out of windows or sunroofs is also strictly forbidden.
Al Mazrouei warned that most of these violations are covered under Decree No. 30 of 2023 on vehicle impoundment, which can result in fines of up to AED 50,000 for releasing an impounded vehicle.
He assured that Dubai Police will deploy extensive resources to ensure the smooth execution of Eid Al Etihad celebrations, upholding the emirate's distinguished reputation. Traffic patrols will focus on road safety, managing traffic flow, and preventing congestion for the comfort and security of all road users.
Additionally, the General Traffic Department, in collaboration with internal and external partners, has finalized comprehensive traffic plans to facilitate seamless movement, enhance event security, and minimize the risk of accidents while deterring violations.
