ADAFSA unveils 'Learning Hub' as part of Global Food Week Activities

emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has unveiled the "ADAFSA Learning Hub" during Global Food Week, coinciding with the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE), which took place from November 26 to 28 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

This initiative is part of ADAFSA’s ongoing efforts to advance agricultural knowledge and foster a digital agricultural community. The hub aims to connect both professional and amateur farmers, enabling them to exchange ideas and share best practices in agriculture, livestock, and food safety.

The "ADAFSA Learning Hub" marks a significant advancement in agriculture and food security, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications. It utilizes cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, interactive chatbots, and advanced tools for irrigation calculations and economic feasibility assessments. These features ensure that users can easily engage with educational content and enhance agricultural productivity.

Initially available in Arabic and English, the hub plans to expand its offerings to include languages such as Hindi, Urdu, and Malayalam, aiming to reach a broader audience and further ADAFSA's mission to spread global knowledge and foster connectivity.

Dr. Arif Kalantar, Executive Director of the Development and Innovation Sector at ADAFSA, emphasized that the launch of the hub aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and supports the promotion of innovation and knowledge in agriculture and food sectors. The hub is designed to empower workers in these fields by providing diverse educational content to improve sustainable agricultural practices.

This launch is also in line with the "Plant the Emirates" initiative, which seeks to boost local agricultural production and achieve food self-sufficiency. The hub encourages sustainable agricultural practices, home gardening, and innovation, providing tools to optimize resource usage, promote sustainability, and reduce agriculture's carbon footprint.

Key features of the ADAFSA Learning Hub include specialized training courses, remote consultations, a comprehensive digital library, interactive tools, and an AI-powered chatbot. Through these offerings, ADAFSA aims to establish an innovative hub that connects agricultural communities, supports sustainability, and strengthens food security across the UAE and beyond.

The official launch was marked by a video presentation showcasing the hub’s development, followed by a digital inauguration and an interactive demonstration. ADAFSA’s Director General delivered a keynote speech, highlighting the hub’s importance in advancing the agricultural sector.

ADAFSA encourages farm owners, livestock breeders, students, and agricultural enthusiasts to visit its booth at ADIFE to explore the hub and experience its services, which aim to shape a sustainable and innovative agricultural future.
