Maktoum bin Mohammed approves Dubai’s Judicial Inspection Authority’s plan for 2024-2026

emirates7 - H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Chairman of the Dubai Judicial Council, has approved the Dubai Judicial Inspection Authority’s strategic plan for 2024-2026.

The plan aims to uphold the highest standards of institutional excellence and global quality while ensuring a balance between judicial independence and transparent accountability. It focuses on maintaining the rule of law through the effective monitoring of the Dubai Judicial Authority's performance.

During a meeting of the Dubai Judicial Council, Sheikh Maktoum was briefed on the strategic plan, which includes four main objectives, 11 secondary goals, and 27 performance indicators to track and evaluate progress. The plan reflects the Authority’s vision for "world-leading judicial inspection" and its mission to enhance governance and improve the performance of the Judicial Authority and its members. It is guided by the values of transparency, integrity, cooperation, and innovation.

Sheikh Maktoum emphasized that the strategic plan aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The plan’s goals are in line with Dubai’s ambition to be a global leader in providing fast, fair, and efficient judicial services.

The strategic plan aims to transform ambitions into tangible results, supporting Dubai’s competitiveness and its readiness to lead in the future. It is designed to improve the judicial system in accordance with the highest international standards, ensuring the prompt delivery of justice and upholding the rule of law. Sheikh Maktoum highlighted the plan’s focus on enhancing judicial inspection quality, measuring performance objectively, and improving transparency and service delivery within the judicial system.

Counsellor Mohammed Mubarak Al Sabousi, Chief of the Judicial Inspection Authority, explained that the strategic plan is aligned with the Dubai Government’s overall strategic objectives to improve governance and the performance of the Judicial Authority. It includes four key goals: improving judicial inspection efficiency, achieving digital transformation, innovating institutional performance, and contributing to legislation formulation.

The plan also sets 11 secondary objectives to enhance the quality and efficiency of judicial inspections, including establishing inspection criteria, managing complaints against judicial bodies, and digitizing operations for institutional agility. Additionally, 27 performance indicators have been introduced to monitor the plan’s implementation and results.
