Emirates takes delivery of its first A350, set for take-off today

emirates7 - Emirates has reached a significant milestone with the delivery of its first Airbus A350 aircraft, A6-EXA, marking the beginning of the airline’s acquisition of 65 A350s over the coming years. This delivery is the first new aircraft type to join the Emirates fleet since 2008.

The aircraft was officially handed over today and is set to depart from Toulouse (TLS) to Dubai at 16:00 local time. Aviation enthusiasts can track the flight in real time via Flight Radar 24. Upon arrival in Dubai, the A350 will undergo final preparations at Emirates Engineering before its official unveiling at a special event later this week.

The delivery flight was powered by a mix of jet fuel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The A350 will enter commercial service in January, with its inaugural flight to Edinburgh, followed by eight additional destinations across the Middle East, West Asia, and Europe.
