ADEK Awards return with its expanded second edition to include early education institutions

emirates7 - Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has announced the launch of the second edition of the ADEK Awards, aimed at recognizing and celebrating the achievements of educators, schools, and learning programs across Abu Dhabi.

This year’s awards are open to all public, private, and charter schools in the capital, with the inclusion of early education institutions (EEIs) in categories. The awards now feature 16 categories, including six new ones, with winners receiving recognition and prizes amounting to AED 7 million. These funds will be allocated to support further development initiatives at the winning schools and EEIs.

New categories for EEIs include the Best Parental Engagement Award, Director of the Year Award, and Outstanding Educator Award, reflecting ADEK’s ongoing commitment to improving education at all levels.

Sara Musallam, Chairman of ADEK, expressed excitement about expanding the awards following the success of the first edition. She stated, "We are thrilled to broaden this year’s recognition to honor the outstanding contributions across the sector. These passionate educators continue to shape enriching learning experiences, helping students in Abu Dhabi realize their full potential and contributing meaningfully to the future of our city."

New additions to the awards include the Best AI Programme Award, which will recognize schools that have effectively integrated AI technology into learning and operations; the Best ADEK Engagement Award, which will honor schools with strong collaboration with ADEK; and the Best Anti-Bullying Programme Award, which will acknowledge schools that have created a safe and supportive environment for all students.
